The Hampton University Proton Therapy Institute(HUPTI) is a cancer treatment facility, fighting cancer with what is considered the most precise form of cancer treatment to date. Proton therapy can target tumors with millimeter accuracy, sparing surrounding healthy tissue and reducing side effects. The largest of its kind in the world, HUPTI is conveniently located in Hampton, Va, the heart of the Mid-Atlantic region. HUPTI is currently treating prostate, brain, pediatric, head and neck, breast, lung, pancreatic and other cancers.

This team ensures precise targeting of tumors with proton therapy, manages detailed treatment planning, maintains accurate medical records, and offers dedicated nursing care to ensure patients' physical and emotional well-being. Members include MRI Technologists, Medical Dosimetrists, Medical Physicists, Medical Records Specialists, Clinical Resource Nurses, and Medical Assistants.
