Richelle D. Payne

Richelle D. Payne, CCP has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Currently, Richelle serves as the Vice President for Strategic Communications & Marketing at Hampton University. In this role, they lead all communications and marketing efforts, partnering with athletics and alumni affairs, and redefining the university's strategic plan.

Before joining Ascendant Group, Richelle founded and served as the Managing Partner of Hurst & Leigh Communications Group. Richelle D. also worked as a Principal Consultant at the same company.

Richelle D. Payne, CCP obtained their Master of Arts degree in Business/Corporate Communications from Duquesne University between 1989 and 1991. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English Arts at Hampton University from 1985 to 1989. Richelle D. also successfully completed a College/University Preparatory and Advanced High School/Secondary Diploma Program at Gateway Senior High School from 1982 to 1985. In addition to their academic achievements, they obtained a certification as a Certified Communications Professional from the AWC Matrix Foundation in 2015.
