Imran Shamim

Imran Shamim started their work experience as a Staff Accountant at H J Malik & Associates in June 2013 and worked there until May 2014. Imran then joined Grant Thornton LLP as a Tax Associate in November 2014 and was promoted to Senior Tax Associate in September 2017. Imran continued working in various senior tax roles at Grant Thornton until July 2019 when they became a Tax Manager. In February 2020, Imran became the COO & Co-Founder of Hamster Garage, a partnerships and affiliate management agency. At Hamster Garage, they worked with leading global brands like Airbnb, Canva, Turo, Truebill to launch and scale partner programs.

Imran Shamim completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they attended from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they attended City Colleges of Chicago-Malcolm X College from 2010 to 2012, and Harold Washington College from 2009 to 2012. Imran Shamim also holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
