Alicia Owens

Alicia Owens is a dynamic professional with extensive experience in education and the arts. As the Founder and CEO of Colors In Motion Creative Arts & Events since March 2018, Alicia has established a pioneering program that promotes self-expression among all individuals. Concurrently, Alicia works as a Direct Care Worker at Braverhood, focusing on community habilitation services for children. Alicia's career includes a long tenure at the NYC Board of Education, where retirement was achieved after serving as a Performing Arts Teacher and a Special Education Paraprofessional. Additional roles encompass positions at various organizations including administrative work at KUEI Luck Enrichment Center, special instruction at Achieve Beyond, home services for students with disabilities, and childcare provision at Lucille Roberts Health Clubs. Alicia's academic background includes a Master’s degree in Special Education from Lehman College and a Bachelor’s degree in Dance and Theatre from Hunter College.
