Julia Lawton

Julia Lawton currently serves as a Senior Manager, GTM HRBP and Head of People Ops at Handshake, a position held since March 2025. Prior to this role, Julia was the Lead HRBP at Rippling, where collaboration with the executive leadership team facilitated the scaling of the G&A workforce from 240 to 600 employees within two years. Julia's earlier experience includes a Senior HR Business Partner role at SurveyMonkey, supporting key revenue and global GTM teams, as well as a series of positions at Climate and ClearSlide. Julia holds a B.S. in Organizational Psychology with a minor in Child Development from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo and a Human Resources Management Fundamentals Certificate from San Francisco State University.
