Julia Lawton

Julia Lawton currently serves as the Lead GTM HRBP and Head of People Ops at Handshake, a position held since March 2025. Prior to this role, Julia excelled as the Lead HRBP for G&A and Marketing at Rippling, where significant achievements included collaborating with executive leadership to scale the G&A workforce from 240 to 600 employees. Julia's career includes a tenure at SurveyMonkey as a Senior HR Business Partner for GTM, as well as positions that supported various departments in marketing, product, and design. Earlier experience encompasses roles at The Climate Corporation and ClearSlide, Inc., with a foundation in organizational psychology from California Polytechnic State University and further education in Human Resource Management from San Francisco State University.
