Alex Au

Alex Au has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Alex started their career as a Programmer at Longman and Master Graphic in 2004. In 2005, they worked as a Project Assistant at HKUST, Information System and Management Department. From 2006 to the present, they have been with Hang Seng Bank, starting as a Software Development Manager and later promoted to Senior Software Development Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Retail Distribution IT.

Alex Au completed their education in the field of Information Technology and Computer Science. Alex obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from HKUST in 2004. Later, they pursued a Master's Degree in Information Technology, which they completed in 2006, also from HKUST. Additionally, Alex has obtained various certifications, including the Certified Fintech Professional (Management) (CPFinT(M)) from HKIB in August 2023, the Certified Disciplined Agilist (CDA) from the Disciplined Agile Consortium in April 2017. Alex also holds certifications from Oracle, including the Oracle Database 10g Administrator Certified Associate (OCA) and the Oracle Database 10g Administrator Certified Professional (OCP). Moreover, Alex has pursued certifications in project management and programming, including the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) and the Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications from the Project Management Institute, and the Sun Certified Programmer (SCJP) and Sun Certified Web Component Developer (SCWCD) certifications from Sun Microsystems.
