Albert Johnson

Albert Johnson currently serves as an Instrumental Music Teacher and Band Director at Frank R. Conwell MS #4 through the Jersey City Board of Education and as an Instrumental Music Teacher at Louise A. Spencer Elementary School. Johnson's extensive musical background includes performances as a Reed 2 player in the Full Count Big Band and as a musician and horn section leader for Hank Lane Music. Additionally, Johnson contributes to the Silver Starlite Orchestra as a Reed 4 and sound engineer, and has experience as a private instructor specializing in woodwinds and brass at Cranford Guitar & Music Center. Johnson has also performed with The Joe Baracata Band and is a long-standing member of the music ensemble at New Covenant Church. Previous clinical internships provided practical teaching experience in middle school music programs. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance with a pedagogy emphasis from Kean University and is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Jazz Performance at New Jersey City University.
