Hannah Joseph Hospital was first established as a center of excellence for Neurosurgery, Neurology, Psychiatry and Trauma care in 2008. It was started as a 40 bed hospital with twin operation theatres and 17 bed ICU. In the year 2011, it was incorporated into a private limited company. It has been consistently registering phenomenal growth in terms of complicated surgeries, patient volume and turnover making the hospital a landmark for Neurosciences in the city of Madurai. Since we had to establish an infrastructure to meet the demand of increasing patient volume, we have built a new hospital campus. As most of our Neurological (Stroke Patients) also had established Coronary Artery Disease, we have added Advanced Cardiac Sciences with a Cathlab and Cardiac Operation Theatres. We now perform Complex lnterventional Coronary Angioplasties and Open Heart Surgeries. The addition of the Department of NeuroRadiology has also fulfilled my dreams of having a fulfledged Neurological Institute of International standards in this part of the country.
