Mikko Huimala

Mikko Huimala has extensive experience in competition and regulatory law, currently serving as a Partner at Hannes Snellman since November 2017, where Mikko leads the Competition & Procurement practice. Previously, Mikko held the position of Partner at DLA Piper, focusing on competition and regulatory law, and served as Counsel and Senior Associate at Castrén & Snellman Attorneys Ltd., specializing in similar areas. Early career roles included Senior Research Officer at the Finnish Competition Authority, where Mikko was involved in cartel investigations, and Associate Lawyer at Law Offices VT Olavi Kaihlanen Ltd., handling contract drafting and litigation. Mikko Huimala holds a PG Diploma in Economics for Competition Law from King's College London and an LL.M. in Competition Law, Contract Law, and Business Law from the University of Helsinki.
