Kate Herbert

Kate Herbert is a Geologist (GIT) currently employed at Hansen, Allen & Luce, Inc. since May 2022, having previously held similar positions at Kleinfelder and Montgomery & Associates. With a strong background in aquatic chemistry and hydrogeology, Kate conducted research on chemical changes in the Great Salt Lake and performed a variety of laboratory and field tests related to water and sediment quality. During academic tenure at the University of Utah, Kate contributed to both laboratory work and river quality investigations, collaborating on solutions for bio-filtration. Kate's early experience as a Contract Geologist at High Power Exploration involved field sample collection and assisting in geological mapping, ensuring quality control of samples. Kate holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Geoscience from the University of Utah.
