Peter Murphy

Peter Murphy is an experienced leader in the recycling and sustainability sectors, currently serving as Managing Director at Alex Fraser since November 2010 and National Executive Sponsor for Sustainability at Hanson Australia since January 2020, where responsibility includes overseeing the National Sustainability Charter. Previous roles include Chief Operating Officer at Alex Fraser - Swire, General Manager at Recycling Industries with P&L responsibility, and Logistics Manager at Alex Fraser. Peter has a strong background in business development, having established markets for recycled materials while serving as Business Development Manager at Queensland Recycling and managing operations at FH Group. Peter holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with double majors in Commerce and Logistics and Operations Management from the University of Southern Queensland and has further education from INSEAD.
