Danielle Merfeld

Danielle Merfeld currently serves as the Executive Vice President and Global Chief Technology Officer at Hanwha Group, a position held since March 2023. Prior to this role, Danielle was the Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at GE Renewable Energy from November 2017 to March 2023, and held various leadership roles at GE Global Research from 2012 to 2017, including Vice President and General Manager. Danielle's experience in the energy sector also includes serving as Solar Business Leader at GE Energy and Solar Platform Leader at GE Global Research. Danielle began career at GE Global Research in 1999, contributing to semiconductor technology and wide bandgap semiconductor research. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Notre Dame.
