Vishal Bundhun

Vishal Bundhun, ACIB, currently serves as the Area Managing Director for West & Central Africa at Hapag-Lloyd AG since June 2020. Prior to this role, Vishal was the Head of Business Development for Africa at Velogic, focusing on strategic expansion in Sub-Saharan Africa, from August 2019 to June 2020. With extensive experience in logistics and transportation, Vishal held various leadership positions including Regional Manager for West & Central Africa and Country Managing Director in Ghana at Pacific International Lines between September 2014 and May 2019, and Regional Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa at Eculine from November 2012 to September 2014. Earlier career highlights include positions at Damco, Maersk Line & Safmarine, and Barclays, accumulating comprehensive expertise in retail banking, operations, and logistics. Vishal holds multiple degrees including an Associate Chartered Banker qualification from the Institute of Finance Services and a Bachelor of Science in Banking & Financial Services from the University of Manchester.
