Benjamin Slaw

Benjamin Slaw has worked in various roles since 2012. From 2012-2013, they were a Summer Intern at Orentreich Foundation. From 2013-2015, they were an Undergraduate Research Assistant, Teaching Assistant, and Undergraduate Research Assistant at Vassar College. From 2015-2022, they were a Director of Graduate Student Initiatives and Leadership, Inaugural Chemistry Department Student Ombudsperson, Graduate Research Assistant, Departmental Culture Committee Member, Tiger Talk Coordinator, Collaborative Learning in Chemistry (CLiC) Teaching Assistant, and Teaching Assistant at the University of Chicago. Since 2022, they have been a Virtual Lab Manager at HappiLabs.

Benjamin Slaw obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) with Departmental Honors in Chemistry from Vassar College in 2015. Benjamin then pursued a Master of Science - MS in Physical Chemistry from the University of Chicago between 2015 and 2016. Slaw continued their studies at the University of Chicago, completing their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physical Chemistry in 2021. Additionally, they hold a certification in QPR Suicide Prevention from the QPR Institute.
