Thorne Sparkman

Thorne Sparkman has held a variety of roles in the venture capital and technology sectors. In 2005, they began as a Managing Director at Slater Technology Fund, where they led or participated in 65 early stage rounds for over 23 portfolio companies. In 2007, they became a Board Observer at RxVantage, and in 2014, they became a Manager at Slater Energy Fund, LLC. In 2013, they became a Director at both VoltServer Inc. and CarbonPoint, Inc., and in 2016, they became a Director at Datarista, Inc. In 2019, they became a Director at HappyNest and a Board Observer at GoPeer and SquadLocker. In 2020, they became a Board Observer at Lenoss Medical, Inc.

Thorne Sparkman attended St. Paul's School from 1981 to 1984 before going on to Harvard University from 1984 to 1989, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Anthropology. Thorne then attended the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business from 1995 to 1997, where they earned a Master of Business Administration.
