Mel Taljaard

Mel Taljaard serves as the Senior Manager of People Operations and HRBP at Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator since March 2024, responsible for overseeing HR operations and developing policies aligned with company objectives. Previous experience includes the role of Head of Talent at iStore South Africa from June 2022 to March 2024, and Group Talent Manager at Core Group Southern Africa from January 2012 to June 2022, focusing on talent acquisition and development. Earlier career roles included various positions within recruitment and talent management at iStore and recruitment consultancy at DAV Professional Placement Group. Mel holds an MBA from Regenesys Education, a Coaching for Development certificate from the University of Cape Town, and several other academic qualifications, including a Bachelor's degree in Drama from the University of Pretoria.
