Ben Norris has a diverse and extensive work experience in the engineering field. Ben is currently employed at Harbor Electronics, where they hold the position of Director of Engineering since August 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as an Engineering Manager from January 2020 to August 2022, and as a Technical Program Manager from July 2019 to January 2020.

Before joining Harbor Electronics, Ben Norris had a long tenure at Intel Corporation, starting in 2003. During their time at Intel, they held various roles and responsibilities. From August 2016 to July 2019, they served as a Sort TD Manager, overseeing complex new product introductions and managing a team of engineering technicians. Prior to that, they were a Sort Development Group Lead from November 2013 to August 2016, managing a team of engineers and technicians responsible for wafer sort technology development. Before that, they worked as a Senior Wafer Test Module Engineer from September 2008 to November 2013, where they focused on developing probing processes and optimizing the sort process. Ben also worked as a Senior Process Engineer from October 2003 to September 2008, where they specialized in metal polish engineering for different nodes.

In addition to their work at Intel, Ben Norris also had professional experiences at SUNY Poly SEMATECH, acting as an Intel Probe Council Representative from 2010 to 2013. Ben started their engineering career as a Graduate Research Assistant at Oregon State University from June 1997 to September 2003. Ben also worked as a Consultant at HP from December 2002 to June 2003. Their early internships include roles as a Flash Device Development Intern at Intel Corporation in 2001 and as a Fab 20 Electrical Test Intern at Intel Corporation in 2000. Ben began their professional journey as a Research Assistant at Whitman College from 1995 to 1996.

Ben Norris obtained a BA degree in Physics and Math from Whitman College, which they attended from 1993 to 1997. Ben went on to pursue higher education in Electrical Engineering, obtaining both an MS and PhD degree from Oregon State University, where they studied from 1997 to 2003. In addition to their academic qualifications, Ben also holds a certification as a Private Aircraft Pilot, which they obtained from the Federal Aviation Administration in May 2008.
