Monera Wong

Chief Medical Officer at Harbor Health

Dr. Monera Wong is a medical leader with deep expertise and experience in Geriatric Medicine across long term care, primary care, hospital medicine, rehabilitation medicine, palliative care, community medicine, and global health.

Prior to joining Harbor, she served as the Associate Chief Medical Officer of Perfect Health. From 2016-2020, Dr. Wong served as Chief of Geriatric Medicine at Atrius Health and as Chair of Transitional Care from 2017-2020. She served as Medical Director of the Geriatric Primary Care Practice at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) from 2010-2014 and as Interim Chief of Geriatric Medicine at MGH from 2014-2016. She was appointed an Assistant Professor in Medicine, Part Time at Harvard Medical School in 2018.

Dr. Wong graduated from The Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine, University of London in 1994 and was awarded the Robert & Diana Dick prize for clinical excellence. She completed her residency and senior residency in Internal Medicine in the United Kingdom in 1998 and the Harvard Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine in 2004. In 2009, Dr. Wong received the Distinguished Scholar Award in Geriatric Medicine at MGH and her MPH in Clinical Effectiveness from the Harvard School of Public Health.
