Rick Walters has over 35 years of experience in the fields of organizational development, change management, program implementation, software-as-a-service, and enterprise resource planning. Rick began their career in 1983 as an Analog and RF Design Engineer at Harris Corporation. In 1984, they joined Texas Instruments as an Organizational Development Consultant and RF Design Engineer. At Texas Instruments, they were responsible for strategy planning and deployment, culture development, business process improvement and reengineering, self-directed team design, training and implementation, and customer focus, requirements and service quality workshops. In 1996, they moved to IBM as a Senior Consultant Manager, where they delivered successful client engagements through best practices in organizational change management, process innovation, collaborative technology planning and program management. In 2001, they became an Organizational Development and Program Management Consultant at Texas Instruments. In 2003, they co-founded Harbour Mastery, Inc., where they provided software-as-a-service, cloud-based, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) designed for business processes and tariff structures of global seaports. In 2010, they became a Consulting Partner at Expressworks International, where they lead implementation of change and acceleration of adoption through client focused adaptation of best practices for change management, planning, execution, team building, stakeholder engagement, project life-cycle decision making, and sustainability.
Rick Walters received a Master's Degree in Management and Administrative Sciences from the Naveen Jindal School of Management at UT Dallas, between 1994 and 1996. Rick also earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology, between 1980 and 1984. Rick has also obtained several certifications, including ICAgile Certified Professional - Agile Coaching in April 2021, Certified SAFe® 4 Agilist in December 2019, Certified ScrumMaster, Organizational Development and Change Management Program, and PROSCI Change Management.
