Andre Hsiung is currently the Chief Scientific Officer at Hardy Diagnostics. Andre has over 18 years of experience in the microbiology industry, including product development, clinical trials, and support work for marketing and sales teams.

Andre began their career in 2003 as the Director of Technical Services and R&D at Hardy Diagnostics, where they launched several key products, including StrepB Carrot Broth (GBS detection), Carboferm (identification of Neisseria species), and early HardyCHROM chromogenic products. Andre also provided support work for the sales and marketing team, and pharmaceutical companies in the area of custom susceptibility disks.

In 2006, Andre left Hardy Diagnostics to become the Technical Projects Manager/Microbiologist at Thermo Fisher Scientific. There they played a key role in the development, clinical trials, and FDA submission of resistance detection products such as Spectra MRSA (for nasal and blood culture claims), Spectra VRE, and RPMI media for antifungal susceptibility testing. Andre also co-traveled with sales teams providing post-launch support work and business development.

Andre left Thermo Fisher Scientific in 2011 to become a part-time per-diem clinical microbiologist at St. Luke's Hospital. Andre returned to Hardy Diagnostics in 2012 and has been there ever since, serving as the Chief Scientific Officer.

Andre Hsiung has a Masters of Business Administration from the Swiss School of Business and Management. Andre also has a MS in Clinical Microbiology from Universidade de São Paulo and a BA in Biology from California State University, Fullerton. Andre Hsiung is certified from M (ASCP).

They are on a team with Chris Catani - Chief Operating Officer, Jeffrey Schroder - Chief Financial Officer, and Isaac Adelman - Inside Sales Specialist. Their manager is Jay Hardy, President.
