Gerrit Albert has extensive work experience in the real estate and communications industries. Gerrit began their career as a Land Development Manager at Branigar Organization from 1996 to 2000. Gerrit then worked as a Vanderbilt MBA Intern at Trammell Crow Company, where they developed financial models and analyzed investment opportunities from 2000 to 2001. From 2004 to 2006, they served as President of Hampton Hall, managing a team of 40 employees and making profit and loss decisions for a $145 million revenue project. From 2006 to 2011, they were President of Hampton Lake, responsible for planning and developing residential properties and assembling a top-tier management team. From 2011 to 2013, they worked as the General Manager of Palmetto Bluff, overseeing sales, marketing, and operations. Most recently, they have been the Division President for Coastal South at LStar since 2016, and Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Hargray Communications since 2014.

Gerrit Albert received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management from Furman University in 1996. Gerrit then went on to earn a Master of Business Administration degree with a focus on Accounting and Finance from Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management between 2000 and 2002.
