Roger McDowell

After university, Roger spent his executive career in his family’s business, pipeline products distributor Oliver Ashworth. He was Managing Director for eighteen years, leading the business through dramatic growth (£1m to £100m turnover), main market listing, and ultimate sale to St Gobain. Thereafter he took on Chairman or Non-executive roles in private-equity backed and listed businesses in a variety of sectors: engineering, manufacturing, waste management, renewable energy, financial services, IT, and telecoms.

Roger currently serves as Chairman of Avingtrans plc, Flowtech Fluidpower plc, and Brand Architekts Group plc. He is also a Non-Executive Director of Tribal Group plc, Proteome Sciences plc, Augean plc, and British Smaller Companies VCT2 plc.
