Jim Thompson

Jim Thompson is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in the construction industry. Currently, Jim serves as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Harkins Builders, Inc., a position held since August 2013, after previously holding the role of Vice President and Corporate Counsel. Prior to this, Jim was the Owner of Thompson Law & Consulting from January 2006 to July 2013, providing legal and consulting services for complex construction projects both domestically and internationally. Jim's earlier roles include Vice President and General Counsel at Alpha Construction and Engineering Corporation and Shareholder at Wickwire Gavin, PC. Jim began the career as an Associate at Watt, Tieder, Hoffar & Fitzgerald. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Richmond School of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Hampden-Sydney College.
