Savannah R. Overton Williams

Savannah R. Overton Williams, M.A. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Savannah R. has recently been appointed as the Senior Director of Equity & Talent at Harlem Lacrosse. Prior to this, they worked at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in various positions, including Director of External Affairs & Community Engagement, Director of Enrollment & Educational Partnerships, and Director of Admissions. In addition, they served as the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Programs at The Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation. Savannah also worked at the District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) as a Travel Ambassador & Travel Ambassador Mentor, and at MassHousing as a Media & Diversity Consultant/Independent Researcher. Savannah R. has experience as an Adjunct Professor at Northshore Community College, and as a Graduate Assistant at the Newhouse School, Syracuse University. Prior to that, they worked as a Coordinator in the Alternative Entertainment division at Fox Broadcasting.

Savannah R. Overton Williams, M.A. has pursued their education in a chronological manner. Savannah R. began their academic journey in 2003 at Pepperdine University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Intercultural Communications in 2007. During this time, they also studied Sociology as a major field of study, leading to another Bachelor's degree from Pepperdine University.

Afterward, Savannah pursued a Master's degree in Media Studies from Syracuse University, which they successfully completed from 2010 to 2012.
