Julian van der Giesen

Julian van der Giesen has a diverse work experience in the technology and hospitality industries. Julian started their career as an intern at Corinthia Hotel St.George's Bay in Malta in 2012. In 2014, they worked as a Graduate Intern in Facility Management at Narvik HomeParc Mooi Zutendaal.

In 2016, Julian joined Wyper B.V. as a Web Developer. Later that year, they attended a Full Stack Web Developer Bootcamp at Codaisseur, where they gained valuable knowledge and skills in web development.

After completing the bootcamp, Julian worked at Harlem Next as a Junior Software Developer from 2016 to 2018. Julian then transitioned into the role of Scrum Master from 2018 to 2020, before becoming a Full Stack Developer in the same company until 2021.

Currently, Julian is working at Harlem Next as a Product Owner, where they are responsible for high-traffic web applications used by millions of unique visitors globally.

Julian van der Giesen has a Bachelor's Degree in International Real Estate and Facility Management, which they obtained from the NHTV Academy of Facility Management between the years 2010 and 2014. In 2015, they attended the College of MultiMedia and obtained a Multimedia Engineer Certificate, specializing in Multimedia Engineering, which they completed in 2016. In addition to their education, Julian van der Giesen has earned several certifications including a Professional Scrum Master 1 certification from Scrum.org in February 2018, and certifications as a Professional Cloud Architect and Associate Cloud Engineer from Google in February 2023 and March 2022, respectively.
