Karen Lerman has extensive work experience in various roles. From 2005 to 2006, they served as a Social Work Supervisor III at Woodhull Hospital and Mental Health Center. Karen Lerman obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis in 1998. Karen later pursued a Master of Social Work degree in Clinical Social Work at Boston University School of Social Work from 2000 to 2001. In 2001, they also attended Boston University School of Public Health, where they earned a Master of Public Health degree in Maternal and Child Health, completing their studies in 2002.
