Jennifer Herrera

Jennifer Herrera is a seasoned educational professional with significant experience in human services and talent acquisition within the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District. Currently serving as Director of Human Services since July 2020, Jennifer oversees recruitment, staffing, onboarding, and employee relations while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and fostering a positive work environment. Previously, Jennifer held the position of Director of Talent Acquisition and Development from July 2018 to June 2020, where responsibilities included leading recruitment efforts, facilitating staff development, and organizing community engagement events. With a background as an Instructional Coach and a history of teaching in various educational settings, Jennifer holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Texas at Tyler and a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and Communications from Texas A&M University.
