Gary McBride has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. Gary served as the Director of Operations at Harman Construction Inc. from 2013 to the present, where they were responsible for the overall management of construction operations. Prior to that, they worked at Nielsen Builders, Inc., starting as a Senior Project Manager from 2000 to 2005. Gary then became a Project Executive from 2005 to 2008, where they were responsible for project budget, value analysis, schedule, and constructability review. From 2008 to 2013, they were the Preconstruction Services Manager at Nielsen Builders, Inc., where they managed all aspects of preconstruction and construction phase services for commercial construction projects.
Gary McBride obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from James Madison University from 1974 to 1978. Gary subsequently pursued a Master of Science in Education (MSEd) degree with a focus on Administration at the same institution from 1978 to 1981.

The Company incorporated under “Harman Construction, Inc.” in 1985, allocating all resources toward commercial construction. Since, HCI has remained active in construction of Retail outlets, build-outs and shopping centers, Industrial and Manufacturing facilities, Warehouses, Financial Institutions, Auto Dealerships, Hotels, Educational facilities, and Office buildings. In 2008, HCI added in-house LEED AP and, in 2009, completed our first LEED Certified project—a new multi-story Residence Hall for Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, VA. One element of our Company’s culture that has contributed to our growth is the value we place on relationships.
