Matyas Tamas

Matyas Tamas is an experienced data science and machine learning professional currently working at Harmonic since 2024. Previously, Matyas served as the Head of Machine Learning & Data Science at EvenUp from 2020 to 2024, focusing on aiding personal injury victims through innovative technology. Prior to that role, Matyas was the Director of Machine Learning & Data Science at Manifold (2017-2020), leading efforts in applied AI to rapidly develop market-ready products. As a co-founder of Ontiq (2016-2017), Matyas emphasized machine learning in healthcare communications. Matyas also held the position of Head of Supply Data Science at Uber (2014-2016), where leadership in data science fostered a culture of evidence-driven decision-making. Early career experiences include founding the data science team at Quora (2010-2014) and establishing the US subsidiary of Oceanize, Inc. (2008-2010). Matyas holds a BS in Physics from Caltech and participated in a summer research fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco.
