Raymond Ranta

Raymond Ranta is a seasoned mining professional with extensive experience in leadership and operational management within the mining industry. Currently serving as a Business Improvement Executive at Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited since January 2022, Raymond has previously held key roles including General Manager at AngloGold Ashanti, where responsibilities included managing operational strategies and overseeing the Mponeng mine. With a background as a Mining Manager at Samancor Chrome and roles at Anglo American, Raymond has demonstrated expertise in mining processes, safety leadership, and effective resource management. An accomplished engineer, Raymond holds a First Class degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Pretoria and an AIM in Human Resource from the University of Cape Town, along with a cum laude national diploma in Civil Engineering from Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
