David Utykanski

David Utykanski is a Principal and General Counsel at Harness, Dickey & Pierce, P.L.C., a position held since 1992, with over 25 years of experience in prosecuting patent applications. Utykanski provides counsel to clients on protecting inventions and managing intellectual property rights, including patents and trade secrets in various mechanical and electro-mechanical technologies across multiple industries. Prior to this role, Utykanski served as a Mechanical Applications Specialist at Intergraph and as a Design Engineer for the Armament Group at General Dynamics Land Systems, responsible for fire control systems on M1 and M1A1 Abrams tanks. Utykanski holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University.
