Katherine Sarlson

Katherine (Kathy) Sarlson serves as the National Director of Life & Legacy at the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, overseeing a national initiative aimed at enhancing endowments for over 900 Jewish organizations throughout more than 70 North American communities. Sarlson has a robust background in development and planned giving, having served as the Associate Vice President of Planned Giving at Thomas Jefferson University, where a significant portfolio was managed, resulting in over $35 million in secured planned and estate gifts. Previous roles include Director of Development at Federation Housing, Inc., where foundational systems and donor engagement strategies were established, and Associate Director of Major & Planned Gifts at Albert Einstein Healthcare Network. Sarlson's early career includes notable positions at the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia and San Francisco AIDS Foundation, complemented by a strong educational foundation with an MBA and a certificate in nonprofit management from Stanford University, an M.T.S. from Harvard Divinity School, and an A.B. from the University of Michigan.
