Prasad Apte has a diversified work experience in the field of technology and research. Prasad started their career at Alcan International as a Research Scientist in 1985 and worked until 1991. Prasad then joined Westaim Corporation as a Research Manager from 1991 to 1997. Prasad then moved to Praxair Inc, where they held the role of Manager, Materials Processing Research from 1997 to 2008. In 2008, they joined Surmet as a Senior Scientist until 2013. Currently, Prasad is serving as the Director of Technology at Harper International Corporation from 2013 onwards.

Prasad Apte holds a PhD in materials science, which they obtained from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, between 1972 and 1977. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
