Aran Shetterly

Aran Shetterly is an accomplished author and educator with a diverse background in writing, editing, and nonprofit leadership. Currently serving as an author at HarperCollins Publishers, Aran is set to release "Morningside: The 1979 Greensboro Massacre and the Struggle for an American City's Soul" on October 15, 2024. Previous roles include board member for Americans Who Tell the Truth, where responsibilities encompassed board development and fundraising, and fellowships with the National Endowment for the Humanities and Virginia Foundation for the Humanities, both supporting research on the Greensboro Massacre. Aran's experience also includes founding and leading several media and consulting organizations, most notably INSIDE MÉXICO, and serving as a freelance editor, aiding authors in crafting their works. Educationally, Aran holds a B.A. in English and American Literature from Harvard University and an M.A. in New England and American Studies from the University of Southern Maine.
