Lorena Zúñiga Meneses

Lorena Zúñiga Meneses has a diverse work experience starting in 2013 as a Journalist for a women's magazine. Lorena later worked as an Editor for Ceibo Ediciones, where they gained experience in various editing styles and tasks. Lorena also worked as a Freelance Proofreader for Ediciones UC, where they revised academic books on psychology, cinema, and literature. Lorena then volunteered as an Interpreter and Translator for Catholic Charities of the East Bay, assisting with immigration matters and writing declarations for asylum-seeking clients. Lorena later joined Catholic Charities as a Legal Assistant, where they provided organizational support and maintained client communication. Lorena also worked as a Freelance Editor for Taller 99, editing a collection of interviews with Chilean artists. Lorena worked as an Immigration Counselor for Catholic Charities of the East Bay, assisting with immigration-related issues. Lorena'smost recent position was as an Immigration Legal Assistant for the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area, where they conducted intakes, wrote memos, managed correspondence, and filled out immigration forms. Currently, Lorena is working as a Publishing Ops Lead for HarperCollins Publishers.

Lorena Zúñiga Meneses received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Letters with a focus on Hispanic-American Linguistics and Literature from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in 2010. Lorena later pursued a Master of Arts degree in Journalism at the same university from 2012 to 2013.
