Chen Fang has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Chen started their career in 2005 as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Washington, where they focused on nanoparticle synthesis and characterization. Chen then took on roles as a Leukemia Lymphoma Society Postdoctoral Research Fellow and a Nanotechnology & Physical Sciences in Cancer Research Fellow at Fred Hutch, where they worked on cancer research projects under the mentorship of Dr. Oliver Press. In 2016, Chen joined Goodwin Biotechnology, Inc. as a Senior Scientist, where they developed analytical assays, performed process development for biologics, and supported technology transfer and business development efforts. In 2020, they joined Zymeworks Inc. as a Scientist, leading their bioconjugation team and working on the development and optimization of bioconjugation reactions. Currently, Chen is a Senior Scientist at Harpoon Therapeutics, focusing on protein analytics and formulation development.
Chen Fang pursued their education in the field of Materials Science and Engineering. Chen began their academic journey at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1997, where they obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in 2001. Following that, Chen Fang pursued a Master's degree at the same university from 2001 to 2004. Chen then went on to the University of Washington, where they completed their Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from 2005 to 2011.
