Rick Austin has extensive work experience in the field of research and biology. Rick started their career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1995 and worked there until 2000. After that, they joined Tularik as a Scientist and worked there until 2004. Rick then joined Amgen Inc. as a Principle Scientist, where they worked for over a decade until 2015.
In 2015, Rick Austin joined Harpoon Therapeutics as the Director of Biology Research. Rick held this position until 2019 before being promoted to the role of Senior Director of Biology Research. In February 2021, they were further promoted to the position of Vice President of Research at Harpoon Therapeutics. Currently, Rick Austin continues to work in this role, overseeing the research activities of the company.
Rick Austin attended Yale University from 1989 to 1995. During their time there, they did not specify a particular degree or field of study. After that, Rick studied at Middlebury College, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Biochemistry.
