Darren Abell has a diverse work experience spanning over 16 years. Darren started their career as a Server, Trainer, Baker, Host, Inventory Assistant, and Food Runner at The Cheesecake Factory in 2006. In this role, they trained new employees, addressed guest concerns, and demonstrated extensive knowledge of the menu.
In 2008, Darren worked as a Change Manager at Cook Out Restaurants, where they managed employees and ensured high customer satisfaction. Darren also handled deliveries and expedited food flow to guests.
From 2009 to 2010, they served as a Sous Chef at Killington's Gastro Pub, responsible for creating daily specials and managing the flow of food to guests.
Darren then transitioned to roles in restaurant management. From 2009 to 2010, they worked as a Restaurant Manager at Libretto's, where they trained team members and addressed guest concerns. In 2010, they became an Assistant General Manager, Guest Services Manager, and Culinary Manager at Ruby Tuesday. In 2011, Darren joined the US Navy as a Trainer/Analyst/Quality Assurance/Sonar Technician. Darren conducted training sessions, handled classified material, and implemented cost-saving plans.
From 2017 to 2021, Darren worked at The Cheesecake Factory as a Senior Manager. Darren led a large staff, trained managers, and managed inventory and purchases.
Darren's most recent positions include working as a Restaurant Solutions Consultant - SaaS Project Manager at Altametrics from 2021 to 2022. Here, they showcased product knowledge, led successful software implementations, and provided valuable insights to clients. In 2022, they joined Harri as a Project Manager.
Currently, Darren is an Agent at Premier Financial Alliance, starting in 2022.
Darren Abell has a comprehensive educational background spanning various fields. In 2005, they started their education journey at Johnson & Wales University, where they pursued an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Culinary Arts. Darren continued their studies at the same institution and obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Foodservice Systems Administration/Management from 2007 to 2010.
Afterwards, Darren sought higher education at Ashford University from 2013 to 2015. During this time, they earned a Master's Degree in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management. Further enhancing their academic qualifications, they attended Johnson & Wales University again in 2020 and successfully completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, specializing in Project Management.
In addition to their formal education, Darren Abell also holds a certification in ASIST Suicide Intervention, which they obtained from LivingWorks in August 2014.
