Stephen Jones

Finance Director at The Harrier Group

Stephen Jones has extensive work experience in finance and leadership roles. Stephen started their career as a Trainee Auditor at British Gas plc and worked their way up to Assistant Auditor. Stephen then served as a Finance Manager at GEC Plessey Telecommunications and later as a Company Accountant at Redrow Homes. Stephen then joined LDV as a Financial Controller for Vans. Stephen went on to work as the WCML Project Finance Manager at Alstom and as a Management Consultant at DPC LTD. Stephen then held the position of Director of Finance and Business Support at the British Triathlon Association. Following this, they worked as a Finance Manager at ArvinMeritor, where they were responsible for accounting services, management reporting, and product costing. Stephen then joined Consumer Focus as the Head of Finance before moving on to their role as Financial Controller at The Harrier Group. At The Harrier Group, Stephen took on various leadership roles, including Head of Finance and Finance Director. Stephen played a key role in revenue and profit growth, managing a team of 10 people, and modernizing finance processes.

Stephen Jones graduated from Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pure Maths & Stats. Stephen then attended The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants from 1989 to 1993, where they do not have a specified degree or field of study. In 2003, they returned to education and pursued a Master of Arts degree in Sports Development & Coaching at UWIC, completing it in 2004.
