Mark Burnes is an accomplished architect and business leader with extensive experience in the field. As the Principal and Owner of Harriman since March 2017, Mark oversees architectural design and project management. Prior experience includes serving as President of Foreside Architects, LLC from September 2003 to March 2017, where responsibilities encompassed firm management, business development, and leading design processes. At Gawron Architects from May 1997 to September 2003, Mark held the roles of Project Manager and Project Architect, contributing to significant projects such as the Dirigo Pines Retirement Community and the Maine Maritime Museum. Earlier, Mark managed architectural services and project management for the City of Boston's Public Facilities from October 1992 to May 1996, overseeing renovations and new constructions across numerous municipal buildings. Mark's educational background includes a Bachelor of Architecture from Boston Architectural College and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from the University of Southern Maine.
