Pete Serna

Pete Serna has extensive experience in the insurance industry and emergency services. Since January 2018, Pete Serna has served as Commissioner of ESD 1 for Harris County, demonstrating a strong commitment to the community. Owner of Serna Insurance Agency since October 1990, Pete Serna led the agency to become a part of Gallagher from August 2019 to December 2022, holding the positions of Executive Vice President of Personal Sales and Area Vice President of Personal Sales, focusing on providing high value, low-cost insurance without policy fees. Previously, from October 1983 to October 2003, Pete Serna was an Executive Sales Representative at Liberty Mutual Insurance, contributing to the profitability and growth of the personal sales department. Pete Serna holds a Bachelor of University Studies in Business Administration and Management from the University of New Mexico, earned between 1979 and 1983.
