Mercedes Sanchez is a seasoned professional with a robust background in policy and community relations. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Policy & Community Relations at Harris County Precinct 2 since February 2019, Mercedes provides policy analysis and advice on crucial issues such as housing, community development, homelessness, veterans, and economic development. Prior experience includes roles as External Relations Director at the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, where responsibilities encompassed public affairs, communications campaigns, and strategic outreach, and as Public Affairs Specialist at the Houston Apartment Association, focusing on government relations and media engagement.
