Angus Armstrong has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Angus began their career at Yum! Restaurants International in 2007 as a General Manager Operations for KFC. Angus then moved on to Trader Joe's in 2011, where they served as the Senior Vice President-General Counsel & Real Estate. In 2013, they joined Dan Murphy's as the National Operations Manager until 2016. From 2016 to 2018, Angus worked at Woolworths Fuel & Metro as a General Manager. Angus then transitioned to the Woolworths Fuel Division in 2018, where they served as the Chief Operating Officer until 2019. Currently, Angus is working at Harris Farm Markets, starting in 2019. Angus initially held the position of Director-Strategy Execution before being promoted to Director of Culture, Capability & Sustainability in August 2022.

Angus Armstrong attended the University of Sydney from 1982 to 1987, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Law (BEc/LLB). Angus then enrolled in the Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM) from 1998 to 2000, where they obtained an MBA. Additionally, Angus Armstrong obtained a Private Pilot's License from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority, although the specific dates are unknown.
