Martin Clay

Martin Clay has extensive experience in finance and accounting. Martin began their career as a Senior Auditor at Arthur Andersen & Co., where they worked with manufacturing clients on audit engagements and provided litigation support. Martin then moved on to Wind River Holdings, where they served as an Internal Auditor, conducting financial analysis and due diligence for potential acquisitions.

In 1993, Clay joined The Lehigh Group as Chief Financial Officer, overseeing accounting, purchasing, and logistics. During this time, they also valued and performed due diligence on acquisition targets and managed product sourcing from China, Philippines, and Mexico.

In 2006, Clay became the Chief Financial Officer of Ardagh Glass (formerly Leone Industries), handling financial reporting, tax filings, debt compliance, insurance matters, cost accounting, and more. Martin played a crucial role in successfully selling the company to Ardagh, managing due diligence, deal structure, tax planning, and financial assistance.

Next, Clay took on the role of CFO at New View Gifts and Accessories, where they had financial responsibilities for a home décor business that imported from Asia.

Most recently, in 2017, Clay joined Harris Freeman & Co as CFO. Harris Freeman is a global resource for tea, spice, and flexible packaging, with Harris Tea being the largest private label packer of tea in the United States.
