Dr. Carmel Martin-Fairey currently serves as the Chairwoman of the Life Science Department and Assistant Professor of Biology at Harris-Stowe State University since August 2019. Prior to this role, Dr. Martin-Fairey was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Washington University in St. Louis from February 2015 to August 2019. Dr. Martin-Fairey completed doctoral studies at Michigan State University between August 2009 and December 2014. Additionally, a Master's degree in Zoology/Animal Biology was obtained from North Carolina State University from 2005 to 2007, and a Bachelor's degree was earned from Tuskegee University.
