Anand Krishnakumar

Anand Krishnakumar, CFA has a strong background in investment technology and quantitative research. Anand is currently serving as the Head of Investment Technology at Harris Associates since July 2021. Prior to that, they worked at William Blair as a Senior Quant from July 2017 to June 2021 and as the Director of Technology from September 2015 to June 2017. Before joining William Blair, Anand held positions at Morningstar as an Architect & Senior Technology Manager, Research & Products from October 2012 to August 2015. Anand was also a Vice President at J.P. Morgan in their Retirement Plan Services division from June 2010 to September 2012 and at Morgan Stanley, where they led and managed a team of IT professionals for their Retail Marketing team from February 2004 to August 2010.

Anand Krishnakumar, CFA, holds a Master's Degree in Financial Mathematics from the University of Chicago, which they obtained from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they received a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign between 2001 and 2003. Anand completed their Bachelor's Degree in Electronics & Instrumentation from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani from 1997 to 2001. In addition to their educational background, Anand has also earned certifications such as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder from the CFA Institute in August 2015, and the Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance in June 2011.
