Julie Castner Shepard

Julie Castner Shepard is an experienced educator with a strong background in English instruction and writing. Currently serving as an adjunct English instructor at HACC since August 2011, Julie teaches Developmental Writing, Composition I, and Composition II, driven by a passion for reading and writing. Prior to this, Julie gained valuable teaching experience at Boston College, where roles included a teaching fellow for First-Year Writing Seminars and a writing fellow assisting students in improving their academic papers. Additionally, Julie worked as a copy editor at Engle Printing & Publishing, refining skills in editing that contribute to current teaching practices. Julie holds a Master of Arts in English with a focus on Irish Literature and Culture from Boston College and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Immaculata University.
