Nhlanhla Mdadane

Nhlanhla Mdadane is an experienced professional in disaster management and education, currently serving as a Disaster Management Officer at Harry Gwala District Municipality since March 2020. Previously, Nhlanhla has operated as a freelance facilitator, trainer, project manager, and strategic planner since June 2016. Nhlanhla's prior experience includes holding the position of Deputy Manager at KZN COGTA - Disaster Management, where support was provided in disaster risk management planning for various district municipalities. In the education sector, Nhlanhla served as an Education Manager at the Paraffin Safety Association, promoting safe practices related to household energy, and as Director at Home & Family Life Foundation, overseeing significant projects related to HIV/AIDS, children, and gender. Nhlanhla began a career in education as an educator at St. Francis College, teaching various subjects and serving on the management team. Nhlanhla holds a Bachelor of Education degree in School Management from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and a Higher Diploma in Education in Geography and Computer Studies from UKZN - Edgewood College.
