Jim Canter

Chief Technology Officer at Hart InterCivic

Jim joined Hart in 2012 as Vice President, Engineering with over twenty-five years of systems development, engineering management, and strategic planning experience. Jim is responsible for product development, sustaining and production engineering, as well as Federal certification for all Hart Voting System products.

Prior to joining Hart, Jim served as Vice President of Engineering for Crane Merchandising Systems, a $200M division of Crane Co, responsible for global engineering activities across all vending machine platform development, including mechanical, electronics, firmware, quality, regulatory, and enterprise applications development. Prior to Crane, Jim served as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Isochron, leading development for a multi-tiered SaaS intelligent vending management solution, focused on wireless-based supply logistics, credit card processing, and mobile workforce computing systems. Previously, Jim held numerous executive positions at ObjectSpace, a provider of webservices management applications for Business-to-Business infrastructure solutions, ADAC Laboratories, where he was responsible for software operations and product development for nuclear medicine biomedical applications, and Storage Dimensions, focused on high-end fault tolerant storage systems.
