Thomas McConnell has a diverse and extensive work experience, spanning over several years in the asset management and retirement plan industries. Thomas started their career as a Senior Analyst at Arthur Andersen & Co. in 1986 before joining TIAA-CREF, where they worked as a Management Consultant and later as a Project and Information Manager for Tuition Financing.

In 2000, McConnell joined AllianceBernstein as a Vice President, where they successfully designed, built, and launched CollegeBoundfund, a leading 529 college savings plan. Thomas also achieved exceptional sales results, surpassing the Y1 sales goal by 200% and raising $3.5 billion during their tenure.

Following their success at AllianceBernstein, McConnell moved to Delaware Investments as a Senior Vice President, where they led the retirement and college savings businesses. Thomas consistently outperformed goals in sales, net cash flow, and earnings, and implemented cost-saving measures, delivering significant savings for the company. Additionally, McConnell developed collective trust products and forged platform relationships to further grow investment-only retirement sales.

In 2007, McConnell joined Morgan Stanley Investment Management as an Executive Director, responsible for alternative investments. After two years, they established Mitivity Consulting in 2009, specializing in asset management and retirement plan industries. As President of Mitivity Consulting, McConnell provided expertise in product design, implementation, and marketing, distribution partnership creation, and profitability analysis.

Most recently, McConnell joined Hartford Funds in 2014 as the Head of Product Innovation and Implementation. Their role focuses on leading product innovation and implementation strategies, ensuring the company's continued growth and success.

From 1982 to 1986, Thomas McConnell attended Georgetown University, where they obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, specializing in Finance and International Management.
